Amendment Upload via Excel
Amendments can also be processed through an Excel upload file, which is useful for updating multiple leases simultaneously.
General Rules for Filling the Template
- One Date per LeaseID per Upload
For eachLeaseID
, only one applicable date can be included per upload file. - If multiple negotiations occurred at different points in time, they must be uploaded in separate files, in chronological order.
-
If multiple changes occurred as part of one negotiation (e.g., change in lease fee and lease term), they can all be included in a single file.
-
No Amendment Number Field
- The Amendment Master in the Excel file does not contain the
Amendment No.
field. -
The tool auto-calculates the amendment number on upload.
- Example: If there is already
Amendment No. 1
for aLeaseID
, the tool will automatically assign the new entry asAmendment No. 2
.
- Example: If there is already
-
Limited Fields
- The Amendment Upload template contains only the fields required for calculation.
-
It is not the same as the Lease Upload file used for bulk data migration.
-
Reference Existing Data for Tables
For tables such as ad hoc payments or user input lease escalations: - Refer to the existing data in the tool before filling in the upload.
- If an existing ad hoc payment number or lease escalation number is entered, that value will be amended.
- To add a new entry, provide the next sequential number (e.g., next ad hoc/escalation number).
For e.g. there are 3 user input escalations in the tool. Original Lease fee – 10,000
As a result of negotiation in April 2020, if the 2nd escalation in May 2020 should now be 800 instead of 1,000, please put 2 in the escalation number column and 800 in the value. The revised lease fee would now be 11,300 and 11,600 from June 21 onwards.
However, if there is a rent reduction of 200 from August 2020 till June 2021, please add a new escalation number and put the details.
Thus, the lease rental would be 11,300 from August 2020 and 11,600 from June 2021.
