Validation

Validation is essential for isolating data errors associated with a factory model. It is particularly useful when a planner needs to add new items to the model after its implementation is complete. For example, after adding a new item, creating locations, and defining routings and BOMs, the planner can use the validation screen to ensure that the model is correct. Validation is also highly beneficial in cases where static data such as items, routings, and BOMs are imported daily from an external system like an ERP. As a best practice, it is recommended that planners run the validation process daily before executing a production plan.
