Installing Planvisage SCM Application

This document attempts to describe most of the installation options.

Prerequisites:

There are some prerequisites to be followed before installing the Planvisage SCM Application in the System.

1. Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8

2. Install Windows IIS(Internet Information Services)

After installing .NET Framework and IIS, the user needs to restart the system.

1. Install Microsoft SQL Server 2017(or above version) and SQL Server Management Studio .(SQL server can be installed in the application Server or some other server which can be accessible from the application installed server.)

Step 1: Download Planvisage SCM

· Download Planvisage SCM Application from Download Portal.

Step 2: Extract Files

· Planvisage SCM Application will be downloaded in the System in a zip file.

· Extract the files from the zip file.

Step 3: Installation

Planvisage SCM Web Application Installation:

· Right click on the PlanvisageSCMServerSetup.exe file and Run as Administrator.

· Planvisage SCM Server Setup Widow will open.

· Click Next to read about the new things in the build, basic requirements and so on.

· Click Next to Agree for License Policy.

· User can give Name for Web Server, Virtual Dictionary and Installation path in Configuration.

· After the Installation is completed, the Setup tab will ensure the successful installation of the Application.

Configuration : How To

1. Configure Session State
2. Install & configure SSL

Connect to Database

· After successful installation, the system admin screen will open as shown below

· Enter the Password and log in to the Admin dashboard as shown below

· Planvisage Application will support both databases, Cloud and on-premises

a) On-premise Database

· If the database is already present, click on the Edit button and give proper connection details using the below screen

· If the user wants to create a new database, click Create Database button, and give SQL Server details using the below screen

b) Cloud Database

· If the database is in the cloud, click on the Edit button, select Server Type as Cloud and give the connection string using the below screen

· After completing the DB connection successfully, click on the License menu and do the server Registration using the below screen

Uninstallation of Planvisage SCM Application

· Right click on the PlanvisageSCMServerSetup.exe file and select Run as Administrator.

· A Setup window will open with 3 options.

1. Upgrade to the latest version

2. Restore to the previous version

3. Remove/Uninstall

· Select Remove/Uninstall and click Next.

· A message will pop up confirming the successful Uninstallation of the Application.
