Sales Order Plan
Sales Order Plan gives the overall picture of how the sales order will be fulfilled. This includes the list of orders (work order, procurement order and Inventory), their start times and how much quantity.
How to view Sales Order Plan

Select a sales order from any screen where the sales order is visible

Place the mouse pointer over the “Sales Order” field and right-click on the mouse.

This will display an option Sales Order Plan.

Click on the option, and the Sales Order Plan screen will display.
The sales order plan has three tabs.

Sales Order Details
Sales order details has the following information
Field Id | Description |
---|---|
Item | Items which go into the fulfilment of the sales order. These items are indented based on the level of bom. |
Description | Description of Items. |
RoutingId | Routing through which the item is made. If it is a work order, then the routing name will be displayed. If it is procurement, distribution or inventory, then the respective name will be displayed. |
RoutingType | Type of routing whether it is WO (work order), PO (procurement order) or OH (inventory) |
OrderId | Order number which makes this item. It can be from work order, procurement order or inventory |
LineId | Location from where the items will be consumed. Suppose it is a procurement order, then the location will be the supplier’s location. |
RequiredQuantity | Quantity required of this item to fulfil the sales order. This is based on the yield and qty per as specified in operation resource and bom. |
PlannedQuantity | Quantity planned by the specified order id. This quantity can be more than the required quantity if this order fulfils more than one sales order. |
QuantityFed | Quantity fed by the order id to the immediate order id. This is the link between supply and immediate demand. |
QtyFedToSO | Of the fed quantity, the amount of quantity actually used by this sales order. |
RelQtyFedToSO | This is the relative quantity actually feeding the sales order. This is achieved by dividing QtyFedToSo with qty per |
PlannedStartTime | Planned start time of this order id. This will be populated only if the order is scheduled and if it is a work order. It will be populated for procurement only if a planned shipment date is given. |
PlannedEndTime | Planned end time of this order id. This will be populated only if the order is scheduled and if it is a work order. It will be populated for procurement only if a planned delivery date is given. |
LPST | Latest possible start time of the order. If the order goes beyond LPST, it means that the order will be late. |
EPST | Earliest possible start time of the order. Order cannot be made earlier than this date due to material availability constraints. |
BucketDate | Date on which the order should be executed. This does not give any time information. |
EndBucketDate | End Bucket Date of the work order. |
Remarks | If the sales order is short, then remarks will give a reason why the sales order got short. If there is a shortage in the procurement, then work orders received from this procurement are also shorted. Whenever this happens, this column is updated. |
To get a Gantt view of the sales order plan, select the rows and a Work Order Used Capacity will be displayed. Multiple rows can be selected by using the ctrl-mouse combination.
Supply Chain Diagram
The supply chain diagram gives a diagrammatic representation of how the sales order is fulfilled. It gives a supply-demand link at each level. Supply could be Inventory, procurement, distribution or work order. Demand could be a sales order, work order or distribution order. Demand picks the supply from the specified location and processes it. Details on each order can be viewed from the sales order detail tab.
To know more information on the problem, click on that node. It will display the reason for the problem.
Planning Problems
If a sales order is late or short, the reason for the problem can be viewed from planning problems. This displays the item which caused the problem and the date of the problem. Also right clicking on Problem Item will display the Material Reports/Capacity reports below to cause the problem.
Schedule
This tab will display the schedule of work orders of the selected SO in the Gantt chart.
